Community Education

The immigration laws and policies of the United States are complex. Misinformation is common, fueling false hopes and confusion and placing vulnerable immigrants at risk. Through collaboration with community partners, Wyoming Immigrant Advocacy Project strives to ensure that all students, employers, individuals and families working and living in the Teton area have current, accurate information about their immigration options, legal rights, and responsibilities. We host and participate in public informational events so that all members of our community understand the complexities and shortcomings of our immigration system. WIAP also offers training and remains available for consultation regarding immigration issues to anyone who serves the immigrant population as part of their work.
